About
I'm a full-stack software engineer currently building pension management systems at the American Federation of Musicians and Employers Pension Fund, where I work across the stack — from Java back-end processes and SQL database design to front-end workflows in Visual Basic.
I studied both Computer Science and Psychology at UMass Amherst, which gives me an unusual lens on software: I'm as interested in how people interact with systems as I am in how the systems work. I find myself drawn to problems where the technical and the human sides of a product meet.
Outside of work, I'm pursuing a Master's in Computer Science at Georgia Tech, building personal projects, and reading widely. I'm an avid reader — fiction, nonfiction, the occasional research paper — and I do some writing of my own.
I'm currently open to new opportunities. If you want to talk, feel free to reach out at jbosworth16@gmail.com.
